Question by Victoria: Personal accounts please for uses of colloidal silver… useless, remedy or slow poison?
I’ve noticed my “Sovereign Silver” brand spray seems to help a sore throat but I’m wondering what some other uses are and if they work. I’ve read some things here and there, seems like a mixed bag of reviews. I’m not sure what to think.

Any success stories for improving or curing _______? No success at all using this for _______?

Also, is there a cream version available anywhere OTC or only Rx for use on humans? I got some from when my bird had surgery and the vet tech winked and said I can use it too.

I always pick a best answer if I get a worthy one… as in worth at least a star. Thanks!
I’ve read that “nanosilver” bonds to viruses on this site: http://www.colloidalsilverkillsviruses.com/

And that it is indeed is anti-bacterial/fungal.

If it’s so useless then why would my vet prescribe it for my birds’ stitched up surgical incision? Must be affective at the least as an anti-bacterial…

I appreciate all these opinions but I really would like personal accounts of using it (is what I was going for here). Or back the claims with some studies/sources?

I’m still confused. =(

Sovereign Silver is 99.9% pure silver and it can be used for anything, from speeding up healing internal, external, as disinfectant, deodorizer, eyes/ear drops, can stop cough in one day (own experience), stomach problems and all. Basically anything you can think off, you can use it. You can drink it for any health condition. It is much in use in Europe, for medicinal purposes. But if the silver is overused for a long time, it can turn the skin blue and it is not reversible as well as causing blue spots on internal organs. You can read much more on the web, just key in colloidal silver. Other wise it is very healthy to use when needed. About the cream version, I do not know but you can ask at any health food store.

Answer by alexflanagan1995
is the diahrrea bloody? is she eating? you need to get her to the vet within 24 hours if you even suspect it. Mine died in 36 hours, he died about 5 hours before his vet apointment and I had been giving him pedialyte, gatorade, feeding him, watering him, keeping him warm, giving him warm baths, and had him on some antibiotics i got at the shelter a week earlier. He still died. If she isn’t eating don’t wait for the linings of her intestines to start slaughing off and coming out in her poop. Take her to the vet immediately if she isn’t already too far gone, they can save her! you can’t, I’ve tried. I know how heartbreaking it is to see them go this way, please hurry and good luck to you.

Acne Scarring

The news is, acne scarring is permanent but can be treated. A final solution for your acne scarring is to have major plastic surgery. Most severe acne is NOT controlled by food, cleanliness, or OTC meds.

Acne can cause blemishes on the facial skin, back, arms, and other parts of the body. Many people associate acne with the teen years, but it can strike any age group from babies to elderly people. While minor acne blemishes do not usually result in lasting scars, severe cases may well leave scarring that is permanent.

Acne scars come in various forms and conditions. Some acne conditions and scars are quite mild while others are more severe and actually very painful and itchy. This article will discuss an acne scar remedy and remover for beautiful skin.

Keep reading to discover how it is actually possible to get rid of your acne in just 3 days plus get FREE instant access to “The Five Basic Secrets For Clearing Your Skin” below.

You can customize your hair color, manicure type, vehicle, health care plan and most certainly, your acne scar removal regime. But before you take one step in customizing anything – you plan. When it comes to getting rid of acne marks, you can plan to delete traces of your previous acne affliction in five time and money saving steps.

Dealing with an acne outbreak is painful and difficult enough, but when you have an acne scar to contend with following the outbreak, the pain is compounded. It’s no wonder that acne can cause depression and anxiety among sufferers. Luckily, there are measures that acne sufferers can take to significantly reduce the risk of developing an acne scar and minimize the long lasting impression of acne.

Perhaps one of the most difficult effects of acne is the physical scarring it can leave behind. There are many forms of acne which can leave scars, but the more severe types can leave very visible scars that won’t go away on their own.

Acne scars are really the second phase of an unwelcome attack on one’s skin. One gets unsightly acne, and afterwards have the reminder of it all in the form of the scars they leave behind. Different types of acne should best be studied in order to understand how their various forms of scarring result. The resulting acne one will end up with will be determined by those types of acne and their degree of severity. Of course the best way to treat scars is early one before they become to the point where a scar will form. However if that does happen, rest assured as there are proven treatments that will improve their appearance with the possibility of complete removal.

Acne is a skin condition that affects 90% of the population at some point during their life cycle. It is unsightly, embarrassing and unattractive. Acne occurs as a result of blockage in the follicle of our pores. As a result our skin becomes irritated causing a pimple which is usually large, red and very unpleasant. Most people’s reaction to acne especially when it appears out of nowhere is to immediately pop it. However, popping your pimples can cause scarring on your skin and what people don’t realize is that once acne has formed it has already created scarring within the deeper layers of skin.

How can you get rid of “Baby Acne”?

Question by Olivia: How can you get rid of “Baby Acne”?
My 3 week old son has a little case of baby acne. I’ve tried using his baby wash with warm water, and it’s not clearing up. I’m afraid to try anything else on my own. It’s not a big deal, because I know it will clear up on its own eventually, but it would still be nice to be able to deal with the problem myself. Any ideas?

Best answer:

Answer by msu_milk_chocolate
Well, there are some things you should not do. Don’t put creams or oils on your baby’s skin, because these can make the acne worse. Don’t use over-the-counter acne medicines. And don’t scrub. Baby acne isn’t caused by dirt.

In fact, too much washing can further irritate your baby’s skin, so don’t overdo the cleansing. Simply wash your baby’s face with mild baby soap and water once a day. Gently pat it dry.

Patience is usually the best course of action. Your baby’s acne doesn’t bother him in the least, so try not to let it bother you, either.

Question by lmt_gisselle: Is collidal silver a cure for yeast infections?
i an a diabetic, 23 years old and have had a never ending yeast infection for about a year now. i take medication, goes away for about 3 weeks, then comes back again. I have read in the internet that “colloidal silver” is a good way to cure yeast infections……. does anyone know anything about it and has anyone tried it? or if not, what other ways can i cure this chronic yeast infection.

Best answer:

Answer by Mischele, RN
I certainly wouldn’t use it. The government is trying to get it banned as it causes too many health issues rather than benefits. It can actually cause your skin to turn a blue grey and can cause internal organ toxicity.

More than likely, your blood sugars are too high. Yeast thrives on sugar. You need to keep it constantly below 110. Otherwise you’re going to have this a wile.

Eat more yogurt. The lactobacillus in it likes to counteract the yeast and keep it in check. If you don’t like yogurt, you can get the lactobacillus OTC. I use AZO. Take 2 of them 3 times a day for about a week and then take one a day every day. It’ll help keep you regulated in terms of keeping yeast down and there’s no side effects to it that are harmful.

What is thr best thing to use to clear “acne”

Best answer:

Answer by MonicaLynn
Vitamin C Face Polish from the Body Shop, Aveeno’s Brightening Daily Face Scrub, or Burt’s Bees Peach & Willowbark Deep Pore Scrub. Any one of these work way better for me than anything that contains “acne medication” such as salicylic acid or benzol peroxide. good luck!

Question by MerryBerry: When making colloidal silver at home is it true colloidal silver?
I have been researching colloidal silver on the internet and have found some videos online that show how to make colloidal silver at home with distilled water and .9999 silver. I have also learned that there is 3 different types of “colloidal silver”. Ionic Silver, Silver protein, and true colloidal silver. When making this at home, which is it making or is there both ionic and true colloidal silver in the water? Please explain. Also should I not eat any sodium that day if I do take it and there is ionic silver in it?

Best answer:

Answer by L. A. L.
Whoa… please stop!

First of all, true colloidal silver is is a dispersion of extremely fine silver particles, a colloidal suspension. Ionic silver is NOT a colloid, but a solution of silver ions, eg AgNO3 <---> Ag+ + NO3-. Silver protein may be a colloidal suspension, but the silver is attached to the protein, and is not truly colloidal silver.

And MORE IMPORTANTLY, this is NOT something that you should ‘take’. Silver ions, for example, are reduced to silver metal on contact with your skin (or inner organs) resulting in the ‘silver burn’ you can see were you to spill some of the ions on your hand.

I don’t know the preparation method you contemplate, but it is most likely that you will wind up with an impure mess that will be dangerous to your health. Think again about what you are about to do…then DO NOT DO ‘TAKE IT’!!…or at least have medical attention at hand.

I don’t know WHY you want silver in your system, but if you must, buy it from a reliable source and follow instructions. Drinking silver to ward off disease is a very old nostrum…quackery.

What do you think? Answer below!

An interesting thing is that the psychological condition of body dysmorphic disorder is very often triggered by cystic acne. This is a condition where people feel that they are extremely hideous despite the fact that they are normal looking. Cystic acne often acts as a catalyst in this disorder from what I have seen and read about it.  Just like anorexia is often triggered by an individual being initially overweight, BDD is triggered by things like acne (or also common is a large nose).  It causes a lot of emotional stress and this is very unfortunate that it is this way.

Then I am always asked the question “do people really react differently to you because you have cystic acne?  Do you look at people and say: they have acne and won’t be their friend?” Well, not exactly.  Someone with bad acne can be less attractive.  Of course that is not what anyone wants to hear and it sounds very superficial, but that is what I have encountered as the truth. It’s such a bizarre thing because people’s attitudes are often what make them attractive or unattractive and of course the cystic acne has a high potential of affecting one’s attitude.

The conclusion is that it should have very little effect on your social life. However, in regards to self confidence – to have some sort of personal life this is where the problem is.  It absolutely takes away from your self confidence and it is one of the few things that can do that which is so difficult to cure. But don’t let it stop your social life. When you finally get rid of the acne, then only you will realize there’s no much different without acne, because your personality that counts. Hopefully whoever reads this will feel better.

Cystic Acne – Medical information and tips on how to get rid of acne

Natural skincare dates back to the days of Cleopatra who regularly soaked herself in a rose petal and milk bath to keep her skin soft, fresh and younger looking. Besides the Egyptians, many other ancient civilizations have used a variety of natural skincare products to treat their skin.

Today, however, the art of cosmetics has come a long way. While you can certainly bathe in milk, we now have readily available lotions, potions and creams made from a variety of plants and herbs.

There are a whole host of natural topical lotions and creams to help rejuvenate the skin on almost any part of the body. Some of these cosmetic products act as moisturizers, others as lubricants or toners. Many of these beauty products have ingredients which can act as emulsifiers, detergents, surfactants or peelers.

Unlike artificial chemicals, natural products are non toxic, safe to use on the skin and are far less likely to cause unwelcome side effects. The natural skincare products contain ingredients such as CoQ10 and Cynergy TK which have the ability to soothe the skin, promote skin healing, relieve skin allergies, and improve the tone and texture of the skin.

Our skin is the largest organ in the body and is essentially a reflection of everything inside of our body. Besides protecting us from the external environment, the skin plays a vital role in controlling our body temperature, eliminating sweat and other byproducts.

Despite its durability, the skin is also a very fragile organ. If one does not take care of it, the skin can easily be bruised, stained, age prematurely, become dry and develop wrinkles. Natural skincare is the best and most effective way to protect your skin from the ravages of sun, aging and everyday trauma. There is a great deal of evidence that daily application of creams containing CoQ10, Cynergy TK and other natural ingredients can help improve the skin’s tone and texture.

Many of the natural skincare creams contain ingredients which will help lubricate your skin, erase the fine wrinkles, moisturize the dryness, improve sagging, readily take off the surface dirt and dead skin and yet retain the natural oils of the skin. Because these products do not contain artificial chemicals, the risk of developing any allergic reaction or redness is almost zero.

For those who suffer from allergies and have very sensitive skin, the use of naturally made cosmetic products is the ideal way to look after your skin. Many thousands of women who have used skincare products containing natural ingredients claim that even after short-term use, their skin is much younger, fresher and smoother looking.

The majority of naturally made cosmetic/beauty products are thoroughly tested. No animal products, artificial colors or perfumes are used in their manufacture. However, they do contain an abundance of oils and minerals which will reduce the stress on the skin. These creams and lotions can be used for all skin types including normal, oily and dry skin. And best of all, the products can be used by men as well as women.

Even though natural skincare products have a terrific cosmetic benefit they are also therapeutic. These beauty creams also help to repair the fine lines, nourish the skin and freshen up the complexion. An added bonus is that these products can help erase the fine lines, blackheads, acne scars and sun spots.

For healthy, vibrant and younger looking skin, go natural.
