The skin of a baby is very sensitive and it should be protected. For the first couple of months, a baby should be kept out of direct sunlight, and as the baby gets older, use a good sunscreen and keep the baby in the shade when possible. In case of sunburn, just apply a cool cloth for comfort, and be sure to contact your pediatrician if you have any questions or if the sunburn appears to be severe.

Drinking plenty of water each day is key to healthy skin. Being fully hydrated allows your body to naturally moisturize your skin and it will also improve its appearance. More flexible, softer skin is the result when you remember to get the recommended water intake of eight glasses a day.

The health, texture and tone of your skin all play a major role in your appearance. Developing a good skin care routine will require some time and efforts from you, but the results will be worth it.
